Medical Checkups More Likely When Parents Go Online

According to a new study published in The Journal of Pediatrics, babies were more likely to have all their recommended well-child visits and vaccinations, when parents were able to access their child’s health records online.

The study found that babies whose parents used at least one feature of a personal health record system were more likely to have at least six well-child care visits by 15 months than those who did not go online.

The study also showed how personal health records appear to be viable tools to help ensure children adhere to recommended preventive care.

This is another example of how new technology and the web is not only improving healthcare but is also a way to generate more revenue for your facility.
