New video ads debut in print magazines.

You’ve seen (and heard) those greeting cards that play songs or talk to you when you open them up? Add video to similar technology and you get the first video ad in a magazine: select editions of Entertainment Weekly in September, to be exact. When the page is turned to the ad, viewers will see the clip on an LCD screen powered by a rechargeable battery that can show up to 40 minutes of video. CBS and Pepsi debut in the first ads, reportedly way pricier than print. (via BBC)
