Miami, FL 2022 – Wax, named The Monster in Healthcare Marketing because of the thousands of awards they’ve won, garnered 8 Premium Accolades at the 2022 Communicator Awards, presented by Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA). Receiving more than 6,000 entries from around the globe, it’s one of the most competitive awards programs honoring creative excellence in marketing communications.
Multiple Wax entries were honored for the agency’s work on behalf of clients including American Choice Healthcare, ChristianaCare, Community Care Plan, MOTION PT, Southern California Food Allergy Institute (SoCal) and SydCura.
The marketing monster received various Award of Excellence honors – the Communicator Awards’ highest achievement – in several categories including Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion for a recently launched video for South Florida-based health plan client, Community Care Plan (CCP). The campaign titled, Voices of the CommUnity, is a campaign that gives a voice to the people most affected by health care inequities and highlights what CCP is doing to make a difference.
Another award was garnered by Wax for their work with CCP on the Abuela Says Online Video Campaign that debunks generationally transpired health myths among Hispanic communities. Designed to promote health and wellness through education, the humorous video series features Disney+ star and social media influencer, Jenny Lorenzo’s iconic Abuela character. Other winning categories include Non-Profit Website and Marketing/Promotion.
Additionally, Wax’s work for ChristianaCare, Delaware’s largest health system, won an Award of Distinction in the Integrated Marketing Campaign category. FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR HEALTH is a campaign designed to promote health and wellness by taking part in activities like drinking more water, getting more sleep, getting your flu shot, and more. Additional Award of Distinction honors were received in the Online Advertising & Marketing, Print Advertising and Brochure categories.
