Wax won a Bronze award at the 2009 Pearl Awards on behalf of Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Energy Corp. The honor was earned for the winter 2009 edition of The Barnett Shale in the Design – Best New Magazine category. The Barnett Shale was developed in a partnership between Wax and Fort Worth-based advertising agency, Concussion LLC.
The awards were presented by the Custom Publishing Council at a ceremony in New York City, and Chesapeake Energy’s award was one of 158 presented to highlight the best in design, editorial and strategic initiatives for B2B and consumer custom publications.
